Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will ensure that all food safety standards are met and maintain a clean and organised work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and a commitment to delivering quality service to our customers.

Duties

Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, in accordance with company standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Assist customers by providing information about products and making recommendations based on their preferences. Upsell additional items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli section.

Skills

Strong time management abilities to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Experience in food preparation or a culinary background is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly disposition to help customers feel welcome.
