The Parlour Restaurant at Cardiff Garden Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Deli Cook / Deli Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team. We are proud to serve high-quality fresh food in a relaxed setting and are seeking someone with a passion for preparing delicious deli-style dishes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh sandwiches, paninis, salads, and other deli items to a high standard Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli counter and food prep areas Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene regulations Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen deliveries Monitor stock levels and notify the Head Chef or Supervisor of low stock Provide excellent customer service when interacting with front-of-house staff and customers Support the wider kitchen team as required, including during busy periods or special events Ensure a high level of presentation for all food served Adhere to all health and safety procedures in the kitchen environment

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a deli, cafe, or kitchen environment is preferred Basic food hygiene certification is an advantage (training can be provided) A positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a team player mentality Passion for quality food and attention to detail
