Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing exceptional service. This role involves preparing and serving food, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and enhancing the dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Food and Beverage Preparation:

Ensure all food preparation and presentation adheres to our quality guidelines. Maintain strict adherence to food hygiene and safety regulations, including HACCP principles. Prepare and present food items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure that all food safety regulations are strictly followed, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Serve food to customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals. Maintain inventory levels of food supplies, reporting any shortages or issues to management. Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Prepare and serve coffee to the highest standard.

Team Contribution:

Work collaboratively and effectively within the team. Maintain clear and professional communication with colleagues and Managers. Provide assistance to other team members as needed.
Person Specification:

Essential:

Proven excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member. A positive and proactive work ethic. Competent numeracy and literacy skills. A commitment to learning and development. A genuine interest in high-quality food and beverage Specialty coffee experience. A solid understanding of HACCP principles and practical experience in maintaining high food hygiene standards.

Strong Preference:

Proficient in food preparation techniques with prior kitchen experience preferred. Previous restaurant experience is advantageous, particularly in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Culinary experience is a plus, showcasing creativity in food presentation and flavour combinations. Working Conditions:

Daytime working hours, Tues - Sat (Sun & Mon off), limited evenings on occasion. Typical core hours working 8:30am-4:30pm. Full Time, 5 days per week. Requirement to stand for extended periods.
