Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a key part in ensuring food safety standards are met and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Candidates must have at least 2 years experience in a similar role

Duties

Prepare a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses and salads ensuring freshness and quality. Serve customers with a friendly attitude, taking their orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to hygiene practices and proper food handling procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Upsell additional products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Keep the deli area clean and organised, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation or kitchen environments. Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products effectively. A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team setting.
