Deli Manager - Redmans of Preston

Location: Preston Market
Salary: 28,000/year
Hours: Full-time, including alternate Saturdays (Your shift schedule will rotate from Monday - Friday to Tuesday - Saturday on a weekly basis)

We are looking for a

Deli Manager

to work alongside the business owners at Redmans of Preston, where we pride ourselves on high-quality local and fresh produce, including raw meat, hot food, pies, sandwiches, cakes and more.

What You'll Do:

Lead and inspire a small team, ensuring high food standards and top-tier customer service are being upheld at all times Manage stock levels, supplier orders and product displays Handle day-to-day operations, including cash handling and compliance with food safety standards Help develop new ideas to boost sales and community engagement Ensure the deli remains a welcoming, friendly space for customers Be responsible for the opening and closing of the deli in the business owner's absence

What We're Looking For:

A minimum of one year retail/hospitality management experience, ideally in a food-related business A passion for food and an understanding of deli products Strong leadership and organisational skills The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining high standards Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations preferable, training will be provided if needed Enthusiasm, creativity, and a hands-on approach
