Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring that food safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, along with strong leadership and team management skills.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained at all times. Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and answering any queries they may have. Supervise the deli area, ensuring that all products are displayed attractively and replenished as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive working environment. Maintain cleanliness in the deli area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

Previous experience in a deli or similar food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation. Strong culinary skills with an ability to prepare various deli items. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Leadership experience or supervisory skills are advantageous for managing team dynamics. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative when necessary. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
