We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team on a Self Employed Basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the capability to handle various delivery tasks, including heavy lifting.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service. Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting and physical exertion. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any damages or discrepancies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Valid driving licence with experience driving larger vehicles is an advantage. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is preferred. Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial, particularly in relation to loading and unloading goods. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
