Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting good from Deeside then returning them to our Newtown depot, this is an early start role where you will need to collect you're vehicle from Newtown at 5am and be at Deeside by 6.30am. Once returned to depot you will assist with delivering bulk deliveries to business within our area as well as moving vans too and from garages.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are completed in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any discrepancies or issues.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a commercial driver is preferred. Previous experience in a delivery or warehouse role is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
We have availabilities for Sunday and Mondays for this role with extra days possible for the correct candidate.
