Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly and safe delivery of goods to our customers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism in all aspects of delivery operations.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport. Building products both in our workshop and in customers homes. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, taking pictures and making note of any discrepancies. Offload deliveries onsite from suppliers. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Delivery Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Driving license and forklift license not essential, but advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients. Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform moving tasks as required.

Hours of Work

Hours of work will fall between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work. This is a temporary, part-time role, with the possibility of additional hours and a potential permanent position.

Please Note

This role will not necessarily require you to drive, therefore you do not need your license. You will be assisting our current delivery team in building and delivering items. This role is based in Portadown, Co. Armagh, however deliveries will be throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
