Trade Counter Assistant / Local Delivery Driver - Aberdare Branch

Pay:

12.50 per hour

At Easy Panels we are looking for a Trade Counter Assistant / Local Delivery Driver to join our friendly and hard-working team at our Aberdare branch.
This is a varied and customer-facing position that combines trade counter service, warehouse duties, and local deliveries to customers across the Valleys/South Wales area.

You'll be the face of our business both in-store and on the road, ensuring every customer receives professional, efficient, and friendly service.

The ideal candidate will have previous trade counter or retail experience, strong literacy skills, and excellent attention to detail, along with the confidence to work efficiently in a dynamic, physical, and fast-moving environment.

be aged 25 or over and hold a full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

Serving customers at the trade counter -- handling inquiries, processing orders, and offering product recommendations. Accurately processing sales transactions and maintaining high levels of customer service. Delivering goods to local customers within the Valleys/S. Wales area using a company vehicle. Ensuring deliveries are carried out safely, efficiently, and on time. Loading, unloading, and handling stock including UPVC/PVC products, trims, and panels. Preparing and checking customer orders for both collection and delivery. Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked trade counter and warehouse. Supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations. Assisting with goods-in, stock checks, and inventory management. Upholding high standards of workplace safety and branch presentation. Building strong, long-term relationships with trade and retail customers through excellent service.

Requirements

Must be aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes). Full UK driving licence (essential). No more than 6 points. Previous experience in a trade counter, warehouse, or retail environment. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling as part of daily duties. Strong communication skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders or stock. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy, hands-on environment. Previous experience in the UPVC/PVC or building materials trade is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday - Friday:

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Saturday:

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (to be discussed at interview stage)

Total:

41.5 hours per week

Rate:

12.50 per hour
