We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility and excellent driving skills, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage deliveries efficiently, while also handling heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely arrivals at designated locations.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery runs, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles or commercial driving is an advantage.
Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to specified weight limits).
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
