Job Description

Badham Pharmacy is a family owned chain of 27 pharmacies across Gloucestershire and Bristol, serving patients since 1940, and with a long history of exceptional patient-centred care.

This vacancy is in the Cotswolds around Stow, Bourton on the Water and Upper Rissington areas and will be a job share with another driver. The vacancy is part time approx 12-15 hours a week,

and we would require you to work additional hours to cover holidays of the other driver in the area also.

On your working days the hours would be 10.00-13.00/14.00. Working days will either be fixed each week or on a week on/week off rotation

Our starting rates of pay are aligned to the National Living Wage. In addition we offer 29 days holiday a year (inclusive of all bank holidays), 20% discount in all of our shops, NEST pension scheme, discretionary Christmas bonus, and Blue Light Card membership (applied for separately)


The role is very rewarding, and you will make a difference to the patient healthcare of your local community but delivering much-needed medication to those who are vulnerable and unable to collect this themselves.


You will have good local knowledge of the Cheltenham and Bishops Cleeve areas and have some previous experience of being a delivery driver.


A typical day will involve collection of deliveries from our warehouse, before delivering these to your designated branches. From there you will collect the prescriptions for delivery, and sort these into a route based on location and urgency of delivery. There will be a need to return to your branches later in the day to pick up urgent or end of life medication


You will have good general organisational skills, be friendly and confident when dealing with customers plus enjoy providing consistent and excellent customer service. You will also be engaging with every customer.


We are looking for candidates with previous driving job experience. The successful candidate will be expected to complete the NPA Delivering medicines safely course, this will take approximately 3 months to complete during your probation period
