Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company standards. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to various locations. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within the scheduled time frame. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, particularly when using flatbed configurations. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous. Strong navigation skills and knowledge of local road networks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is essential.

Pay: 12.89-16.22 per hour
