Job Description

We are a well established raw material metal and plastics stockholder based in Derby, where you will be a valued and respected member of our team.

We are looking for a part time driver to join our team.

The main duties would be collection and delivery of goods predominantly from suppliers/customers within the Midlands/South Yorkshire regions, using our 3.5t vehicles. Candidates must have held a full UK driving license for at least two years.

Other duties consist of general warehouse operations, including assisting with the loading/unloading of commercial vehicles, and occasional fork lift operation and basic material cutting processes for which full material handling and training will be provided.

Counter balance fork lift license would be useful, but not necessary as training and qualification can be provided.

The working schedule for this position would be once a week, every Friday 8am to 4pm with half an hour lunch break. Holiday pay is 5 days plus statutory bank holidays, In addition to this, full pay (1 day per week) during Christmas period closure (Typically finishing on the 23rd of December up until the 1st working day of the New Year).

We are a small family run business, so there will be opportunity for more work should it be desired, to cover annual leave for the 3 members of our existing transport team.
