Delivering light goods for a bakery - Mainly bread and rolls. Sunday - Thursday. Flexible starting time between 5am - 7:30am Covering mainly Glasgow City Centre and West End. 30 - 35 hours per week depending on how busy we are. Must be 30 years old for insurance purposes. Non smoker/vaper.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, while adhering to safety protocols. Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle type being operated. Experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
