Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Delivering light goods for a bakery - Mainly bread and rolls. Sunday - Thursday. Flexible starting time between 5am - 7:30am Covering mainly Glasgow City Centre and West End. 30 - 35 hours per week depending on how busy we are. Must be 30 years old for insurance purposes. Non smoker/vaper.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading of goods. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any delivery-related issues promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial vehicles is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
