Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.

Duties

Operate a van or lorry to deliver goods to designated locations efficiently and safely. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during deliveries. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus. A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations.
