Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily duties. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through safe and efficient delivery practices.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Navigate efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the day. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus, including stock management and organisation practices. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
