Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver / Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, checking deliveries and keeping stores tidy. You will be delivering goods efficiently and safely, from our units in Baldock and Stevenage and delivering to sites in London and surrounding areas and then helping engineers on-site.

The role includes early starts and night work

Responsibilities

Safely operate company van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Deliver goods to various locations promptly and accurately, maintaining the integrity of the products during transit. Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise during transit. Help engineers on site Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and route logs. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly. Take in deliveries and keep stores tidy. Maintain a clean vehicle, both inside and outside, ensuring it is presentable at all times.

Experience

Proven delivery driver experience with a track record of punctuality and reliability. Valid driver licence with a clean driving record. Experience in commercial driving environments, demonstrating safe driving practices over long distances. Warehouse experience is advantageous, especially in loading/unloading cargo efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining safety standards at all times. Strong communication skills for liaising with team members and customers effectively. This role is ideal for organised individuals who take pride in their work, prioritise safety, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure smooth delivery operations across various locations.

Pay: 150.00-170.00 per day
