Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, ensuring that deliveries are made on time while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery van, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules. Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or damages. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving practices and regulations is advantageous. Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial for understanding logistics operations. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving.
