Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver's Mate to join our team. In this role, you will assist the driver in the delivery of goods, ensuring that all items are loaded, transported, and unloaded safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and be able to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods from the vehicle Ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise Perform checks on the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy before departure Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any discrepancies encountered Handle heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes Support warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organisation

Requirements

Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25kg) safely and efficiently Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards
