Delivery Driver - Garden Centre (Zero Hours Contract no regular shifts)

We're looking for a friendly, reliable Delivery Driver to help us get plants, compost and garden essentials from our garden centre to our customers' homes and perhaps help on the nursery when deliveries are quiet.

You'll need to be able to drive, know the area well, and be able to move products around.

Key responsibilities

Deliver plants, compost and garden products safely to customers' homes and businesses Plan efficient routes and navigate confidently around the local area Load and unload vans carefully, ensuring plants and products arrive in good condition Provide helpful, polite customer service at every delivery Check the vehicle over before use. Help in the garden centre (e.g. moving stock, basic customer help) when not out on deliveries
About you

Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be confident driving locally. Good knowledge of the local area (back roads, estates, villages, etc.) Physically fit and able to lift compost bags, pots and other garden products Reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly depending on demand (weekdays and some weekends) Friendly, customer-focused manner Horticultural knowledge is an advantage (an interest in plants and gardening is a big plus, but not essential)
What we offer

This is a Zero hours contract which means we aren't obliged to offer regular shifts, but you not obliged to accept and are free to work elsewhere. Pay: At least the current UK National Living Wage/National Minimum Wage (rate depends on age and status). Friendly team environment in a busy, growing garden centre
