Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy being on the move and working independently.

Duties

Operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and inventory checks. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including packing orders and organising stock. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any queries or concerns during deliveries.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physical demands of the job. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Familiarity with local routes and geographical areas is beneficial. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management.
