Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Strong driving skills with a valid driver's licence; experience in commercial driving or as a van driver is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
