We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe transport. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate efficiently through various routes. A valid commercial driving licence is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products during transit.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the delivery van is in good working condition.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving to maintain safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any discrepancies encountered during the process.
Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Skills
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver is preferred.
Strong ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
Ability to navigate using GPS systems or maps effectively.
Strong organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
