Job Description

We are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our distribution team, based at our Factory in South Shields. You must hold a category C licence in order to drive our 7.5 tonne trucks. You must also have a valid CPC and digital tachograph.

The successful applicant will work approx. 40 hours per week Monday through to Saturday with either a day off through the week or on Saturday depending on trading needs.

Our delivery drivers start their day as early as 04.30 each morning to supply our stores and wholesale customers with fresh product for the day ahead. The role will involve weekend working on Saturdays and bank holidays too.

Previous food delivery experience would be an advantage.

Duties include:

Daily Vehicle safety checks Order Picking from factory Responsible for loading and unloading van/truck in delivery order. Deliver to our retail shops (opening/closing depending on route) and to independent wholesale customers. Handling cash through wholesale deliveries. Collecting and returning empty trays from all shops, as well as daily clean down of van/truck on a daily basis.
