Sunday morning shift cover required from 5:30am to approximately 9am

This role is moving our bread and baked goods from site to site within Cardiff in our own van.

You will start at our bakery in Victoria Park and drive to Roath, Rhiwbina, Castle Arcade and various other city centre pick up and drop off locations moving stock carefully.

This role suits someone flexible who is looking for just a few hours a week extra income. There is potential to cover other longer delivery shifts in the week when our other drivers are on annual leave.

Job Summary:

We are seeking two reliable part time Delivery Drivers to join our team, working 7 days a week.

You'll be responsible for moving our incredible products between our own shops, to our independent Wholesale customers in Cardiff and to our weekly farmers markets stalls on weekends.

We aim to have 3 drivers in total sharing the following working week, 1 driver per day:

Monday - Thursday 5:30am-9:30am

Friday - Saturday 5:30am-2pm (Negotiable can finish after market drop and any home deliveries typically 11am)

Sunday 6am-10am

This role ideally suits someone retired or with other work, looking for a flexible fun job you are proud of.

Duties:

- Communicate effectively with the bakers and understand basic spreadsheets to coordinate deliveries

- Drive a van to transport goods safely and efficiently

- Load and unload items, involving heavy lifting at times

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers

- Follow all relevant food hygienes safety regulations and traffic laws

- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle

Skills:

- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role

- Commercial driving experience preferred

- Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers

- Ability to drive and manoeuvre vehicles safely

- Proficient in navigating routes using GPS or maps, Our van has Android Auto/Apple Car mode enabled

- Capability to handle heavy lifting when loading and unloading goods
