Job Overview


We are seeking a hardworking, reliable and professional Delivery Driver with a go getter attitude to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently planning their route, collecting, organising and loading parcels from the depot, transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who work well in fast paced work environment and have a good ethic. The more efficiently you do your job, the more you get paid. A valid UK driver's licence is essential and all candidates must be 21 or older. Previous delivery experience is preferred but not essential. This role includes being on your feet most of the day, a lot of walking and heavy lifting.

Day rate starts at 100 however for every stop completed after 100 stops, an extra 1 per stop will be added to the daily wage. The route will usually have a minimum of 100 stops, potentially rising to anything around 170 stops. The average stops per day is approximately 130 stops.

We are looking for the successful candidate to work either;

Wednesday to Sunday (Mondays and Tuesdays off).

Saturday to Wednesday (Thursdays and Fridays off).

Sunday to Thursday (Fridays and Saturdays off).

Tuesday to Saturday (Sundays and Mondays off).

All of these have the option to work 6 or 7 days a week.

We are flexible, if you would prefer to work 4 days that can be accommodated as long as one of the days is a weekend day.

You will be required to submit your working days a week in advance.

The successful candidate can use their own van however, it must be a long wheel base van and electric. The candidate can make use of the company van, free of charge. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities



Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Organising, loading and unloading items, sometimes requiring heavy lifting, with care and attention to safety protocols. Safely operate company vehicles whilst delivering goods to clients and customers. Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before shifts to ensure safety standards are met. Follow all health and safety guidelines during transportation and handling of goods.

Skills



Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is preferred but not essential as you will learn on the job. Valid UK driver's licence with a maximum of 6 points on driving record. Experience working within warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines under pressure.
