Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional driver/experienced fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role also requires supporting the fitting team with the use of hand tools to meet with set targets by the shop supervisor. This applicant must have excellent driving skills, experience with tools and good communication.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines. Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary documentation. Use of hand tools to support the fitting team Assist in warehouse activities when required, including stock organisation and inventory management.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations and handling heavy loads is advantageous. Proven ability to operate various types of vehicles safely, including vans and lorries. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively. Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of driving or standing. Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record preferred.
