Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hard working sawmandelivery driver to join are small engineering team. This is a hands on dual role position involving the operation of metal cutting saws for preparing materials ,and the delivery of finished parts goods to clients and suppliers . the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy workshop environment and performing local deliveries in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

operate bandsaws to cut metal stock to size interpret cutting lists ,drawings or work instructions measure and mark materials accurately using appropriate tools maintain saw equipment and ensure a safe clean working area Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and customer signatures. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Requirements

full uk driving licence Experience operating saws physically fit and capable of manual handling strong time management and organisation skills good communication skills forklift licence desirable
