We're seeking a Delivery Driver/Yard Person in Wells, BA5 1AF.

If you can assist in the day-to-day running of deliveries and collections for a busy plant and tool hire company using a Transit and Trailer, as well as help with washing and preparing equipment, we want to hear from you.

Duties

To undertake the cleaning and preparation of plant and equipment for hire. To assist with the loading and unloading of customer's vehicles, company vehicles and deliveries received. To be well mannered to customers and their representatives at all times. To ensure that all items are checked when returned and omissions and breakages are reported to the Hire Desk. To keep the yard in a tidy and orderly fashion. To complete the Company's various paperwork systems accurately and adhere to them. To carry out duties as directed by the Depot Manager.

Qualifications

Previous experience in delivery driving, warehouse work, or similar roles is desirable A full driver's license and Tacho card are essential. A HGV Licence would be an advantage, but not essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and drivers. Physical fitness to handle manual tasks throughout the shift Organised with good attention to detail and safety procedures
