Differentis is looking for a Delivery Lead/ Project Manager who is skilled in Agile Delivery Management. This role supports the Royal Navy's mission to develop and assess cutting-edge AI/ML solutions that improve detection and classification of underwater acoustic data, strengthening decision-making in high-threat environments. Candidates must be able to operate with exceptional pace, energy, and adaptability to drive meaningful mission outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent technical projects using Agile methods, ranging from rapid research commissions to prototype system builds. Drive high-velocity delivery aligned with ACE's innovation mission, ensuring risks and issues are proactively identified, managed, and communicated. Work closely with senior government customers, including Senior Civil Servants, to shape problems, refine scope, and translate operational needs into actionable delivery plans. Coordinate diverse multidisciplinary teams drawn from ACE's community of 300+ industry and academic suppliers. Ensure high-quality outputs and outcomes through close collaboration with Tech Leads and Tech Assurers Own all financial and commercial aspects of commissions, accountable for spend, forecasting, commercial compliance, and engagement with customer finance teams. Manage supplier engagement activities, including Expressions of Interest, Commission Tasking Forms, supplier selection, and rapid "Accelerator Days" to surface and evaluate innovative solutions.

Key Requirements

Proven experience delivering technical or research-based projects using Agile methodologies. Strong leadership ability, able to mobilise teams and maintain momentum in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across all seniority levels, including government and defence stakeholders. Commercial awareness with hands-on experience in procurement and supplier management. Strong understanding of risk management and assurance within regulated, secure, or defence environments. Ability to rapidly triage complex customer problems and shape them into deliverable work packages. Familiarity with defence, national security, or highly regulated technical landscapes (essential).
