Job Description

We are seeking a Delivery Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all training programmes within their designated area, ensuring high-quality learner experience, compliance with awarding body and funding requirements and the safety of individuals working in practical environments.

This is a curriculum management position, with the post holder expected to contribute to the delivery of courses in their specific discipline/areas of competence, as required by the Area Delivery Plan.

The role provides operational leadership, coordinates resources, monitors learner progress, and works collaboratively across departments to ensure delivery meets contractual targets and organisational standards. The role is accountable for delivery performance while quality assurance oversight is provided by the Quality and Compliance Team.

Essential criteria:



Experience of delivering training in both classroom and practical settings within the construction sector.

Proven experience managing delivery teams within education, training, or skills development environments.

Strong leadership and management skills, including performance management, staff development, and CPD facilitation.

Knowledge of awarding body standards, funding rules, and quality assurance processes.

Experience conducting planned and risk-based delivery spot checks and operational delivery reviews.

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in using learner management systems, CRM, and Microsoft Office applications.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, learner welfare and duty of care responsibilities.

Desirable criteria:



Experience working with funded programmes such as ASF, Skills Bootcamps, or Apprenticeships.

Familiarity with management information systems like PICS, Maytas, or similar.

Knowledge of compliance frameworks related to education and skills delivery.

Key responsibilities of the role:



Team Leadership and Management:

Line manages delivery staff, including performance management, absence management, capability and conduct processes in line with HR policies.

Manage, support, and develop delivery staff to ensure effective and consistent delivery of training programmes.

Facilitate Continuing Professional Development [CPD], training, and ongoing support for delivery staff to maintain high standards.

Monitor team performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans where required.

Programme Delivery Oversight:

Oversee day-to-day delivery of all training programmes, ensuring sessions are effectively planned, resourced, and delivered to a high standard.

Conduct planned and risk-based operational spot checks to monitor delivery.

Ensure all delivery complies with awarding body regulations, funding requirements, and organisational policies.

Ensure delivery performance meets contractual KPIs including starts, retention, achievement and timely completion.

Learner Experience and Outcomes:

Monitor learner attendance, engagement, and progress, implementing interventions to support achievement and retention.

Ensure high standards of learner support, inclusion and satisfaction throughout the learner journey.

Resource and Facilities Management:

Coordinate the allocation and effective use of training resources and facilities to support delivery needs.

Liaise with relevant departments to resolve issues impacting delivery or learner experience.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Interact and collaborate with Quality & Compliance, Health & Safety, Student Services, and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure aligned delivery standards, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Compliance and Quality [Operational]:

Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance with contractual, funding, and audit requirements.

Support internal and external audits and inspections by providing required information and implementing actions.

Safeguarding and Learner Welfare:

Act as the operational safeguarding lead for delivery teams within the region.

Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded and escalated in line with policy.

Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment at all times.

Reporting and Data Management:

Produce regular reports on delivery performance, learner outcomes, and compliance for senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure timely and accurate data entry into management information systems.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, learner outcomes, and operational efficiency.

Lead or contribute to project work aimed at enhancing programme delivery and learner experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 38,000.00-42,000.00 per year
