Delivery Manager - Retail Banking

Brief: We are seeking a Delivery Manager to shape, articulate, and deliver commercially viable, data?led propositions from concept through execution. The role operates at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and delivery, requiring strong critical thinking, stakeholder influence, and pragmatic decision?making, alongside the ability to interpret and leverage data insights to drive tangible business outcomes.
Role Details:
Roles and Responsibilities:Lead the development of data-driven propositions, ensuring clear articulation of customer value, commercial benefit, and feasibility
Create, structure, and present proposition decks for senior stakeholders, translating complex ideas into compelling narratives
Apply strategic and critical thinking to identify opportunities, risks, and dependencies early
Anticipate delivery, data, and commercial challenges and proactively design effective, realistic solutions
Ensure propositions are grounded in commercial logic, data insight, and operational reality
Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and delivery ownership
Lead the end-to-end delivery of initiatives from approval through execution and transition into business-as-usual
Coordinate activity across multiple departments, influencing prioritisation decisions and resolving delivery conflicts
Drive alignment between analytics, technology, marketing, and operations teams
Apply strong process design principles to ensure scalable and efficient execution
Leverage outputs from data and analytics teams to support decision-making and stakeholder requests
Interpret analytical insights, performance metrics, and visualisations to guide proposition refinement and delivery decisions
Ensure effective use of data visualisation to communicate progress, outcomes, and impact
Communicate clearly and persuasively across technical and non-technical audiences
Balance stakeholder expectations with delivery constraints using common sense and pragmatism
Technical Requirements:Solid understanding of UK Financial Services fundamentals
Exposure to proposition development within banking, payments, or FS ecosystems
Proven experience delivering complex initiatives in a matrixed environment
High level of data literacy with the ability to interpret, question, and apply analytical outputs
Strong project planning and delivery management experience
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across departments and influence prioritisation
Strong expertise in SQL-based analytics and complex querying
Expertise in predictive, performance, and modelling techniques
Experience with data mining, manipulation, and large-scale datasets
Non-technical skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including senior-level presentations
Confident and articulate communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear business insights
Strong project management capability with the ability to deliver at pace in dynamic environments
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Collaborative team player with a consultancy-oriented approach to problem solving
Strong strategic, critical, and commercial thinking capability
