Job Description

Belgica, a large furniture retailer based in Bo'ness, is currently seeking a full-time Delivery Porter / Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the company's operations, ensuring the smooth running of deliveries and warehouse. This is a physical role that requires a candidate with a good level of fitness and capable of heavy lifting.

A clean driving licence and forklift licence are essential requirements for this position.

Responsibilities:

Delivery and assembly of furniture into customers homes, adhering to our high standards. Taking in deliveries of goods: Receive and inspect incoming shipments from suppliers, checking for accuracy and verifying against purchase orders. Preparing deliveries to customers: Ensure orders are accurately picked, packed and, where required, assembled. Load delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secured properly for transportation. Assisting with stock control: Help maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts, reporting discrepancies and assisting in stock replenishment. Warehouse and showroom maintenance: Keeping the warehouse and showroom areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow proper storage procedures for furniture and other items. Showroom display setup: Assist in setting up displays in the showroom, ensuring they are visually appealing and accurately represent the products.
Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience. Clean driving licence is essential. Forklift licence is preferred. Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting. Self-motivated and willing to learn. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team. Flexible with working hours, including occasional overtime. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
