Due to the growth of our award winning, family business we are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual for the position of Delivery Van Driver. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and services while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in delivery driving, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Safely operate our delivery vans to transport goods to various locations in the north. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of products during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, with a valid driver's licence for the appropriate vehicle class. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices is highly desirable. Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage, as it aids in understanding the logistics involved in deliveries. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and customers alike. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Valid driver's licence Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 kg) as required by the role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Pay is dependent on experience.

Hours are approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.
