From websites to platforms, apps and more, we help businesses create experiences for their customers. We use technology and creativity to build these new products, services, and ways of working, so we can make customers happy and help businesses grow. We work with clients to understand what their customers really want and need, and then we use design, technology, and marketing to create solutions that meet those needs.
We're looking for talented people to join our team. Here are some of the areas you could work in:
Marketing, Commerce & Product:
We help businesses create and run successful marketing campaigns, online stores, and digital products. This involves using advertising, branding, content creation, social media, and other tools to reach customers and build relationships. We also use artificial intelligence (AI) and data to improve our clients' marketing efforts.
Customer Strategy & Design:
We help businesses understand their customers better and create strategies to improve their experiences. We use design thinking to solve problems and create innovative solutions. Our goal is to make businesses more profitable and sustainable by improving the lives of their customers.
Sales & Service:
We help businesses improve their sales and customer service processes. We create solutions that make it easier for customers to buy products and get help when they need it. Our aim is to make every interaction with a customer a positive one.
Digital Foundry & Operations:
We help businesses build and run the technology that powers their customer experiences. This includes setting up and managing the systems and processes that support marketing, commerce, sales, and service. We work with clients to ensure their technology is working efficiently and effectively.
We're a diverse and energetic team, and we're always looking for people who are passionate about the future of digital experiences.
What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world.
We do have some minimum requirements for you to meet. And of course, you'll need more than good grades to make the most of your placement. If you're fascinated by business and can't wait to get stuck into complex projects that make a difference, you'll fit right in.
You must be in the penultimate year of your course, or going on to a master's, and you need to be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline.
Duration of the programme - 6 weeks
No prior coding/configuration experience is required, however a broad interest in technology/digital tools and how they work is advised.
What kind of work will I do?
You'll be joining a creative team where everyone works together! We come up with new ideas, design new tools and solve our clients' big challenges.
This includes working with data, helping businesses sell things online, ensuring things are automated and marketing and advertising. You'll also work in content and optimisation, supporting the team to develop new materials.
You'll get to help out our teams who are working directly with our clients. You'll learn how we help these businesses change and get better, from start to finish, and discover what kind of skills are really useful in our work.
Where will I work?
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our work spaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our
parent and carer policies here.
How will I develop?
As an SVS student you will get the following opportunities:
Our dedicated SVS team will support you from your first day, organising fun activities to help you get to know your fellow SVS students.
You will attend our induction alongside other business line students to learn about the firm, our culture and how we work, before diving into Consulting specific induction activities.
After your induction you'll work on projects with colleagues at all levels of seniority helping to solve real problems from our clients.
You will be provided with a support network including a buddy, people leader, mentor, programme sponsor and more!
You will be provided with a number of resources such as the SVS Student handbook which can help guide you through your placement.
Upon being offered an SVS role, you will be assigned a buddy who has previously been an SVS student themselves. They will be your informal point of contact for any queries, and to offer insight and guidance ahead of joining.
