We are seeking a kind, reliable, and patient carer to support an elderly gentleman with late-onset dementia. The role focuses mainly on companionship, meal preparation, and assistance with medication. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate and enjoys providing supportive, one-to-one care in a calm home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly companionship and emotional support
Prepare and cook nutritious meals
Prompt and assist with taking prescribed medication at the correct times
Maintain a safe, calm, and comfortable environment
Light household tasks : tidying, washing dishes and laundry
Support daily routines and encourage gentle activities
The ability to play scrabble or willingness to learn
Observe and report any changes in health, mood, or behaviour to family
Personal Care:
Minimal personal care required (details can be discussed if applicable)
Skills and Experience:
Experience caring for someone with dementia preferred
Kind, patient, and understanding nature
Good communication skills
Reliable and trustworthy
Ability to work independently
Current DBS

Qualifications:
No formal qualifications required, but care-related training is an advantage
