We are currently looking for a talented and ambitious Demi Chef de Partie to join the Kitchen team here at Edgbaston Park Hotel.
We are always looking for people with a passion for hospitality and over the coming months there will be plenty of scope for the successful candidate to express themselves through various menu developments and projects we have planned.
Key duties will include:
Responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of food from the main kitchen
Assisting the senior chefs with the preparation of a wide variety of recipes, including stocks, soups and sauces
Assisting in plating during breakfast, lunch or dinner service
Assisting the senior chefs in creating innovative and exciting menu items
Responsible for proper storage, labelling and use of all food supplies to prevent unnecessary spoilage and to maintain cost control.
Assist the senior chefs with menu planning, inventory control, scheduling and ordering of kitchen supplies.
Managing and training commis chefs working with you
Ensuring you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
We are looking for someone with prior experience as a Demi Chef de Partie, or as a Commis Chef who is looking to take the next step up, ideally with experience working in a hotel or a conference and banqueting environment. The ideal candidate will have a willingness and desire to learn and develop under the guidance of the wider kitchen and management team and have a genuine passion for the industry.
