Job Description

Responsibilities:



Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of your designated section. Work alongside head chef, sous chef and CDP's to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with production preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Follow established recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality. Assist in the development of new menu items and specials. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, complying with hygiene and safety standards. Handle and store ingredients in compliance with food safety regulations. Monitor food stock levels and communicate inventory needs to the senior kitchen staff. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food service. Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they understand and follow kitchen procedures. Contribute to maintaining a positive and motivated kitchen environment. Assist in the preparation and setup of mise en place for service. Support in minimizing kitchen wastage and optimizing food costs. Work with head chef, sous chef and CDP's to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities. Ensure all food preparation and presentation adhere to customer quality standards. Any other duties as requested by your manager.

Skills:



Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen Culinary qualification from a recognized institution is preferred. Strong understanding of culinary techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils. Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Enthusiasm for learning and growing within a culinary career. Full-time Right to Work in the UK. Adhere to Unit safety measures in place. Adhere to Inflight services security compliance.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.50-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
