Are you experienced in managing meetings, taking effective minutes and producing meeting agendas?

Are you highly organised with a great attention to detail?

If so, WE WANT YOU!

Our friendly Democratic services team are looking for a well organised Committee Clerk to:

  • Effectively record minutes
  • Prepare notices for Council/Committee meetings.
  • Perform all administrative activities associated with committee meetings.
  • Create and maintain hard and electronic records of all meetings and information with Committee meetings.
You will be professional, confident and tactful in dealing with elected members and senior officers. You will also have an excellent standard of written English and be competent using Microsoft Office 360.

The successful candidate may be required to support any committee (including any newly created ones) and may be required to work across committee teams. Depending on the demands on the office, clerks can move between committees. A degree of flexibility will be required as most Committee meetings are held in the evening. Flexible working is promoted within this small but highly effective team.
