We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, with a strong background in dental clinic administration and healthcare management. This role requires exceptional skills in fiscal management, medical records handling, and staff supervision to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the dental office. The Dental Administrator will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, managing patient services, and supporting clinical staff to deliver outstanding patient care.
Duties
Manage all aspects of clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative workflows to optimize efficiency.
Oversee fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and financial management using systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
Supervise administrative staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
Coordinate with clinical staff to support nursing and dental professionals in delivering quality patient care within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
Handle human resources functions including staffing, onboarding, and employee relations within the practice.
Maintain accurate medical administrative support by managing appointment scheduling, insurance claims processing, and patient communications.
Monitor clinic supplies inventory and manage procurement processes to ensure operational readiness at all times.
Implement policies for healthcare management standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and utilization management protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting, with familiarity using practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and managed care billing practices.
Supervisory experience overseeing administrative or clinical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or Epic is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple priorities effectively.
Experience in dental clinic operations or healthcare administration is preferred; veterinary or acute care experience is a plus but not required.
