Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. This position requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

Please note - you must hold a full current driving licence and have access to a car



Responsibilities



Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Provide direct patient care, including taking medical histories, updating patient records, and ensuring patients are comfortable throughout their visit. Maintain a clean and sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to ensure optimal care continuity. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the practice. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and managing patient information accurately.

Qualifications



Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare role is preferred. Strong patient care skills with a focus on providing excellent service. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Good nursing knowledge with an understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment. Familiarity with IT systems relevant to dental practice management is advantageous. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 23.25 per week
