Responsibilities
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
Provide patient care by ensuring comfort, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Manage medical documentation accurately, including recording treatment details and updating medical records.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
Monitor patient vital signs when necessary and assist with post-treatment instructions.
Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety protocols.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Experience
Prior experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; relevant training will be provided.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records management is advantageous.
Familiarity with nursing practices, patient care procedures, and medical documentation standards is desirable.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy is essential.
