Key Responsibilities
Support dentists and clinicians during
triage and assessment appointments
Provide calm, reassuring support to
children and adults with special needs
Assist with patient preparation, observations, and basic clinical support
Help gather relevant clinical and social information to inform treatment planning
Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain high standards of
infection control, safeguarding, and documentation
Ensure patients feel safe, respected, and well supported throughout their visit
Requirements
GDC-registered Dental Nurse
(essential)
Experience working in
special care dentistry, community dental services, or similar settings
is highly desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, empathetic, and professional approach
Understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable patients
Ability to adapt to different clinical environments
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
