Lightwood Dental Care are looking for a dental nurse to join our team. Ideally, we would prefer a fully qualified nurse but would consider an apprentice for the right candidate. Fully implant trained would be desirable, but it is not mandatory.

We are a fully private practice based in Buxton, Derbyshire. We are a well-established practice and have a good reputation for quality dental care, and exceptional customer service.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Chairside nursing for dentists and dental therapist/hygienists Decontamination nursing (we have a dedicated decon nurse, so you do not need to process instruments in between patients). Maintenance of equipment and surgeries. You will be involved in completing weekly cleans and stocking of surgeries, as well as any maintenance of equipment e.g. CPR kit, dental chairs, cerec machine, OPT/CBCT machine. Front desk duties, including answering phones, handling patient enquiries and checking patients in and out of the practice. Other administrative tasks may also be delegated to you where appropriate and where suitable training has been provided.
Our nurses tend to be on rotation, so you may find you are involved in one or more of the above named roles in a week.

We are able to offer 37 hours between Monday - Thursday.

Salary for a fully qualified nurse would be 2244.66 per month for the above hours (additional salary would be available for implant-trained nurses). For those seeking an apprenticeship, salary will be dependent on age and in line with national minimum hourly rates.

You will receive in-house training to support you in your new role, and we offer on-going CPD with regular visiting providers (eg. CPR, infection control, safeguarding) as well as an online portal that covers all your core subjects.
