Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised appropriately Provide exceptional patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes using IT systems Prepare treatment rooms before appointments, including setting up equipment and ensuring cleanliness standards are met Support with infection control protocols, including sterilisation of instruments and disposal of clinical waste Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients Ensure the dental environment remains organised, safe, and hygienic at all times

Requirements

Prior experience or training in nursing or dental assisting is preferred but not essential; relevant qualifications will be considered favourably Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain procedures to patients of all ages Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment Good IT skills for maintaining accurate patient records and using practice management software Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and comfort Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a fast-paced setting
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
