We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Dental Nurse to join our mixed NHS and Private dental practice based in a busy Tesco Superstore, close to the Westend of Glasgow. With the benefit of free parking available on site, we provide all aspects of routine dentistry, dental implants as well as Invisalign and Cosmetic dentistry for our patients.
The successful candidate will assist our team of dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. Position is permanent and full time Monday-Friday, but also have the option of part time with additional staff positions weekends being considered.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients.
Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or queries with professionalism and empathy.
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently.
Support infection control protocols and uphold hygiene standards throughout the practice.
Liaise effectively with patients, colleagues, and suppliers through clear communication.
Skills
Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Good IT literacy, including familiarity with Dentally dental practice management software is preferred, however training will be provided.
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
