Duties

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials Ensure patient comfort and provide reassurance throughout treatments Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilise equipment accordingly Take and develop dental X-rays as required, adhering to safety standards Prepare treatment rooms before appointments and clean after procedures Manage patient records accurately using IT systems Provide post-treatment advice and instructions to patients Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence

Skills

Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Good IT literacy for maintaining electronic health records and using practice management software Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and build rapport with patients Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
