Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday

Salary:

25,000.00 - 30,000.00 dependant on skills and experience.

Training provided and funded will include, but is not limited to, radiography, orthodontic nursing and the fundamentals of patient coordination on both NHS and private workflows.

Key Responsibilities:



To carry out effective and smooth chairside assistance for our Specialist Orthodontist and Orthodontic Therapists. Provide excellent proactive (non-clinical) customer care to all patients, providing a customer-focused and seamless patient journey according to the practice's working ways.

To include (not exhaustive):-

Build trusting and caring relationships with all patients, and take all reasonable steps to ensure their comfort and retain them as a patient. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Providing chairside assistance to both the Orthodontist and our Orthodontic Therapists Provide reception cover as part of a rota system within the practice. Ensure the care and welfare of patients in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner Keep clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean and sterile in accordance with the practices health and safety/infection control procedures. Maintain and accurately fill daily checklists. Accurately complete patient records as directed, maintain and store securely. Observe patient confidentiality at all times, in line with GDPR and Data Protection act. Ensure adequate stock is kept in the surgery at all times and report any shortage to the Head Nurse Liaise with reception/admin staff for smooth patient communications Complete CPD and attend regular staff meetings.

Skills & Attitudes:



Can provide chairside assistance that is efficient. Radiography qualification desirable but support will be provided to achieve this. Can work fast enough to allow smooth running while maintaining a high standard. Excellent communication skills. Excellent listening skills and manner with the general public. Dedicated to providing a first class customer service experience. Ability to build trust and rapport with a range of different people. Ability to work as part of a team and recognise when others need assistance. A "can-do" attitude, with the desire to learn new skills and take on new challenges, shows flexibility as part of small efficient team. An ability to bring energy and be a role model for others. Prepared to work according to the practice systems and ways of working. A professional appearance. Experience with Word and other Microsoft applications. Ability to send and arrange emails in an orderly fashion.
